nice colour. I was told today that clematis doesn't like being tied to trellis and to get clematis mesh. Yours doesnt seem to mind. Never grown clematis before dont know if I should buy it or something else. Want something outside kitchen door

thanx pauline, lots of members use trellis not heard that before, guess there is always different addvice out there, depends if you have full sun or shade as what to put there, and if in pot or not lol,

Hi we also have the Clematis Alpina---growing with Nelly Moser....the colours compliment each other and the delicate blue of the Alpina is lifted further by the big showy two-tone pink of Nelly Moser....there are nice big healthy flower buds ready to open on the Alpina, and the Gardens are enjoying a couple of days of light steady rain at the moment which all the plants will benefit from...
We have 8 Clematis, 3 grown doubled up....and two as singles growing up trellis, but not tied...left to grasp on themselves...chicken wire fence to the Chook House....and through a climbing rose, which is attached to an Aviary Wire fencing panel....so ours appear to be happy growing up anything, we dont use ties tho...keeping it as natural as possible....

thanx for the info crissue, im like you i dont tie anything just let it do its own thing, which they do, cling themselves very well, all yours sound very nice ;o))

Thanks for the welcome Sanbaz, I had quite a shock when the comments appeared, I am new as you all know and I dont know my way around tho it looks fairly easy...Can I talk to everyone in one go?? or do I have to do it one person at a time that sends welcome or comments...sounds a bit thick sorry..
I know I will enjoy this site, which I found by the way by accident, glad that I did...I think all gardeners need somewhere like this to meet up don't you agree.
