You should see it now, that little viola has spread and there are lots of baby houseleeks, I am going to plant the babies in a house brick that has holes in it, I am sure there is a name for them but not being a builder I've not a clue !
15 Sep, 2010
Sounds like a kind of Engineering brick.
Good luck with your planting :o)
15 Sep, 2010
Thats it T. you are a mine of information !
Thanks for that, I might put on a photo when its completed.
15 Sep, 2010
Yes, do put a photo on GoY :o)
Good idea...
I'm not a builder, either ... but from necessity over the years, I've used Engineering bricks, crazy paving etc. etc. !

Wow they're gorgeous - my favourites - do you know which variety this is - I have Robin, Green and Cobweb
11 Dec, 2010
Not a clue Paul, I half inched them from my daughters garden.
I left mine out in this 'orrible weather, do you think they will survive?
11 Dec, 2010
oh they're very hardy - the only thing they don't like is winter rain. my sempers have new growth on so that is good - their literal meaning is "always alive" . looked on Google and yours are carnival and cafe and they can also be called chicken or hens! Weird :D I put lots of sharp sand in the mix for them to grow in
