Lovely Jane ... we have had the bees and hoverflys but we have'nt had the Butterflys , plenty of the cabbage whites and thats it ... ...

Same here Amy..distinct lack of many butterflies here too.Did see a Holly Blue today on water mint..a lovely tiny thing............

think ive been lucky and had lots of everything this year amy, mind you hard work looking after butterflies when casper is around,

Aye Sixpence the top one looks like a bee but isnt ..never seen one before with its shiny body and marked wings had to search to ID it ..

Lol not at all, was trying to upload the sky on meteor showers, so you were close on going on my broomstick lol, as there was the stars which come out red, and then there was like a planet, and a tiny triangle which was white but got wrong photo lol so thought as the planet is so small on my photo, it gets smaller on here so I uploaded the horse instead lol.

We have only just started seeing honeybees in the garden, Hardly any butterflies apart from cabbage whites and Gerry saw a peculiar wasp with an elongated bulbous body and black and yellow feelers on the pepper plant in the greenhouse. Good photo of the two together Bonkers
