What a lot you got.....mine were about as successful as my tomato :o)

They are, Janey. I did sow them later than usual, but very nice splashes of colour for Autumn. Yes, Meanie, they do add a bit of peppery zing to salds, don't they? What on Earth have you been doing to your plants this year, bo'sun???? :-D)

It's a nice bonus to have something later ... I took a Nasturtium out of a pot beacause it looked dead and then felt sorry for it so stuck it back in the garden , it's coming back to life ,I will keep my fingers crossed ...

I think nasturtiums do not like too rich soil. There are a lot of flowers on these.

Yes, Scotsgran has ye answer to the nasties!!! You don' want them to grow as rich as us!! Otherwise, ye gets all leaves an' no treasures!!! Leaves are okay for Peter Pan costumes an' Wendy 'ouses (also salads) - but useless for blooms!!!! ;-D)

Multipurpose should be fine, bo'sun. Mine growing in cheap, own-brand from the local Focus store. :-)

Only had one flower on my one plants and I sowed loads of seeds! Well done, you have definitely got green fingers and thumbs :)

I have them growing on my balcony but strangely enough they haven't made half the growth, let alone flowers, of other years!

Last year they were growing in the grass outside our balcony. They must have been seeds that fell off my plants even though I normally do my best to deadhead them as much as possible. Before they could flower the council gardener cut them down with the strimmer. :-((

Other times Lobelias & Pansies & Violas have germinated & even managed to flower before the gardener came around & cut them down with the strimmer. :-((
