Last Clem Flower

Last Clem Flower

Just a shot of one of the flowers before I put it away for winter under a nice mulch. It has wintered in Fairbanks already once, so I trust I'll see it bigger and better next year. :-)

I love it. They are tough little things, being an alpine clematis. I'll go check your question.

Your clematis is much bigger. This is a bush type so it stays about 3 foot tall at max and dies to the ground each winter. There is no vine.

So sad isn't it GT! Oh well, no winter....no spring!! This must be Olgae is it? I don't have her any more, but I kind of regret letting her go now! lovely little blue bells!

mine is not the alpine version ~ yours is very attractive i quite like the idea of a small one.

Oooh, be careful! You'll get caught in the clematis addiction trap and before you know it you'll be mad as a hatter like me!! :)))))

Thanks Stevie.

Karen, it is olgae, and those little blue bells are what attracted me. I hope to keep her as long as I can. Always sad to watch things go, but I know shes just resting for another spring, as you say. :)
Its the truth about the addiction Sticki, I have plans for four more types in the spring already......lol.
