Are those crab apples bothering you on that lawn Ann.....tee hee :)) To me, this is a feast of colour on a dark november evening! Do you always cut the buddleia back in the autumn? I was thinking of leaving mine until the late winter, as they still have lots of leaves on....??

Karen I cut the buddleia this early as it looks so untidy with the old flowers on and the leaves drop late then stay on the lawn. It's my kitchen window view so nicer to look beyond at this time of year :-)))

Yes, fair enough...kind of thing I would do too. Did you see my blog though? I found a late flower on one of my buddleias today, so I'm glad I haven't yet cut it down. I'm going to move it soon though...I've spotted another gap on the fence!!

why not make jars of crab apple jelly Annella,

I might have a go this year Yorkshire, usually I leave them for the Blackbirds. Last year a flock of Field fare finished them off :-))

seems a shame not to use them up,

Still looking good in spite of crab apples etc.
