Just made me think Clarice, haven't seen a starling in this area for years, always remember when I was little and my mum feeding the birds the starlings were always the first on the scene, where've they all gone?

Sinbad i think there all here in Blackpool, sometimes there can be as many as 30-40 in my garden.

I think they go to yours for their hols Carol, rest of the year, they're all here and roosting on the church tower from 4oclock.....Lol Did you see Autumn watch, where they were watching the starlings roost under the pier? It was amazing, they all have their own special place according to the pecking order. Females have the outer draughty parts.....says it all...lol!!

No i missed that one, BB was telling me about it, must admit they do a brill display dont they, its just there so greedy and noisy.

We have loads of Starlings here Kathy ! I like the teasel idea Carol , I wonder if you could sprinkle tiny seeds into the heads when the original ones have been eaten ?
