Goodness, how on earth has that survived so well? All my pieris plants are looking very sad! A treasure indeed.

Beautiful, always love to see pictures of Pieris, something that won't grow in my garden, unless in a pot and have far too many of them already, this is a stunner.

It is pretty Milky very welcome at this time of the year , it's a shame you can't grow them Kathy you do need acid soil for them , I know what you mean about too many pots , they are fine until we have some dry weather and then they all need watering .........

The blue poppies you sent are doing well though in the wood Amy,must be the only part of the garden with acidic soil, 4 survived and have grown quite large this summer, so fingers crossed for flowers next year:-)

I'm glad your blue poppies are surviving Kathy I'm not to sure about mine , as soon as we started to have the frosts I put lemonade bottles cut in half over them to protect them , I can see that one is still green but the others look black , they might shoot out again in the spring .. :-)

It was a lovely surprise Holly ../ Janey , I have noticed today in the thaw that some smaller shrubs have been squashed flat I hope they manage to stand up straight after all this snow and the branches haven't been damaged ......

That is gorgeous Amy so pleased it survived the freezing temperatures and snow, I havent had a lokk around the garden yet, but from the window I can see grass starting to reappear [the Thaw as started here] but still got a heavy cold and cough so staying indoors until its gone.
