Thanks Gee....it shouldn't be here though! I added it to my plants today with a photo and it has come up here too....???

I have this one Janey, but get fed up with it as no sooner is it in bloom then it sheds all its petals all at once.

Aw no Val! I spent ages looking for a golden climber and eventually decided on this beauty...it was quite expensive.
Then in the Autumn we were at a market and there were bare rooted roses dirt cheap, so we bought Golden Showers and Schoolgirl....old favourites we had years ago...:^)

Yes Janey I had mine bought me , it is a David Austin and as you know they are not cheap.
As in the photo they are very full and beautiful at their peak and then collapse ! But they are prolific bloomers if that is any consolation.

Thanks for all the info folks, very good to know!

That is a consolation Val....Lol...it just means lots of petals blowing around though.....:o)
Yes Lemondog.....will see how it goes this summer.

We have this one, and Golden Showers, and love them both. Beautiful perfume as well.

Yes wonderful perfume Dd....yellow roses are my faves...the next one I'm looking for is Canary Bird....a real stunner, with fern-like leaves flowering in early summer.

Canary Bird is also another beauty, hope you find it. Ho ho on the right of the page at Burncoose they want £30.00 !!!
10 Jan, 2011
Oh ma lordy Dd.....don't think I'll be buying one from there!
10 Jan, 2011
I could not believe £30, so had a look and that is for a 5ft standard. :0))

Yes....a beautiful specimen Val....think I'll try somewhere else though...:o((
The basic bare root rose is £9.95 from Peter Beales Val.

Think I have that one but summer seems so long ago I've forgotten! Such a lovley butterry colour.

It is Lulu....like pale gold, can't wait to see how it does in summer...:o)

Canary Bird is fab, If I remember correctly it has black stems, wish I had bought one when I had the chance. We have a yellow climber here at the stud, I think it's called dreaming Spires. When I worked for a garden company we went to source it AT David Austin, their nursery was amazing!
