Isn`t it heartening to see new blooms after the miserable winter we`ve had. I know we`ve a long way to go yet but I like to look ahead! :o)

We've had a few days of mild weather, and it's helped the winter flowers to bloom. :-))

Lovely to see!

Yes - my red one has nice buds, too - but it's always a little bit later than 'Arnold'. It wo't be long! :-)

The gardens are waking up; I just hope they dont get out of bed too early!

I've always wanted one of these. Do they take up much room Barbara ?

wonderful so many plants beginning to flowering !

So nice to see your plants coming on well, ours should start in about a couple of weeks time, find everything blooms later up here than they do in south.

Hywel - they can do when they're mature, but you can prune them to fit the space you have. The height and spread after 10 years is supposed to be up to 12'. I can't let my two reach that size - they'd bump into each other! lol.

If it doesn't mind pruning, then that does it - I'm getting one on my next garden centre visit (and I hope it will be soon lol)
Thank you :o)

I saw some last week, Hywel - in flower! I expect your GC has some, too. my other one is red - and you can also get more orange-y flowered ones. I think 'Jelena' is the best for colour, but it's personal choice really. Good luck! :-)

Thanks. It's a yellow one I've always fancied :o) I'm going to try and get one soon.

Barbara & Hywel, I have Aphrodite, it's the most vivid orange, to die for & the perfume, well... I've also got Diana, that's red & then the common yellow one, which is in full flower at the moment but once again has held on to it's horrible brown leaves.

I'd pull the leaves off, I think! I like the sound of 'Aphrodite'! :-))

I bought Aphrodite at Endsleigh G.C. Devon, Nr. Ivybridge. May be too far for you Barbara.

Yes, it would be, but thanks. :-)

so wonderful to see some seasonal flowers at last! All I have is a container of lemon violas! Mind you, I'm not complaining...I love them!
