They are so lovely Camelias but I haven't had much luck with them. I hear a East sun rising aspect isn't good for them. Also the naughty eatie bug that got into my pot didn't do it much good either. Hope yours is ok, they are so worth the show.

Hello 6d the sad trouble with Camellias is that they flowers just a wee bit too early for their own good!! I love them though, Bloomer mine were showing so much promise but I looked today and all is not lost, I thought the whole lot had gone brown but fingers crossed there is some more pink showing!!! :#)

Glad all is not lost, Grandmage, such a beautiful plant. I have a couple of camellias and find the white one seems more vulnerable to frost damage than the red one but perhaps that is due to position more than anything else.

mines white Gee, maybe thats why its looking sickly, what with frosts and the cold winter,, although 6d told me what to do for it,

Hi all, Gee, Yorks & San, Its strange but at the moment what looked a very brown bush has sprung back and doesnt look too bad, think I over-reacted although I have lost some buds and the edges of the flowers are brown it does not look too bad, all my Camellias are protected by a fence!! But that was some big frost, brrrr.

Well as it happens they have pulled through Muddy, luckily it seemed to be the outer coating of the bud that had turned brown, Phew!! I agree they are very 'rose' like aren't they?
