Aw thanks Moti....:o) I don't think it is newly emerged as the colours are muted, I think maybe it hibernated all winter....don't they love a bit of sun, just like us....:o)

Fantastic photo, Janey. I saw a couple of peacock butterflies in the woods this morning and was a bit surprised but, like you say, they must be enjoying the sunshine :)

Thanks everyone....I was amazed to see it too....there had been a couple of Tortoiseshells flitting about, they usually are early, but then this Peacock, which loved the new tree.
I hope they have somewhere to shelter, as the cold air comes through again....they seem to be such tough cookies....:o)

Isn't it great to see them Cristina....wet and windy here, so they'll be in hiding again......our computers been messing about, all okay now though, you feel like your arm's been chopped off, when it's not working ....Lol!
It is Alan....and quite friendly too, noticed a Holly Blue flitting about the other day, no camera then though.....
