I think it's a wren too Sticky, their huge voices are totally out of proportion to the size of their wee bodies, they're just so cute! Are you in Edinburgh now, or is this pic an older one?

thank you all, no libet, sadly im back now ~ got back yesterday, and put this photo on, ~ its a beautiful city and i dont normally like cities ~ i could have happily stayed there ~ we had very good weather ~ perhaps that makes a difference? i shall do a blog about it in bit.

this was in a busy park ~ perhaps it was used to people being around ~ may even be used to that cannon they fire from the castle???

i didnt go to the art gallery cos i ran out of time and i had been there before but i read in a magazine recently that it has a really good cafe/restaurant which i am very sad to have missed!

Incredible song, wrens - so much sound from such a tiny piece of fluff with a beak. Don't get them hereabouts.

That's a shame you don't get them, I really like them. Is it too hot for them where you are?

I think it's just the wrong terrain, Sticki - they tend to like gardens, not agricultural land.

im sure they would like your garden if they found it.
