I've seen a few yellow Iris on here lately Janey and I really like them. I think I shall try to get one for the front of my house. It would be even better if it was scented like this, but many Irises do have a lovely honey scent don't they. I shall go and hunt around tomorrow to see If I can find one!

Thanks girls....:o)
Yes they do Karen, I was walking Lottie in the village today and passed a front garden full of Siberica Irises, the scent was amazing!

Janey, I eventually found a yellow Iris called 'California Gold' for my front garden. Its not as lemony as yours, but it looks nice...a nice clear yellow. It's a later flowering one, so no flowers yet, but you never know, I might get one later!

Thanks Moti, Holly and Amy.....I'm very pleased that it's flowered after all this time and 4 on one stem!
That sounds very pretty Karen...I don't know the name of this one, but I had planted it in the wrong spot, too shady, so I moved it about a month ago, with the rhizome facing the sun if you know what I mean, then it sent out the flowering stem, I'm sure it was thanking me for some sunshine...Lol! Apparently the rhizomes should have the top half above the soil so that they can bake in the sun...

This is a very pretty Iris, would look good in our yellow border, as Karen says some real beauties on here this year.

Yes, that's right, half of them out in the sun. Look at that one on the right here.....stunning....anyway, I got distracted by the ads there....lol.....the one I got seems to be a very old var. Couldn't find anywhere else that is selling it....so a bit of a find if it's as good as the reference on the web suggests. Could be the same as yours, hope so, but I think it will be a deeper shade of yellow...we'll see!

There are Dd....I wish I had a larger garden, I'd love a bed of Irises, even the leaves are attractive en masse. That is a gorgeous frilly one Karen there. Fingers crossed yours flowers quicker than mine did......

Well, I have one here that's been in for five years and hasn't yet flowered, and it still isn't flowering....sigh...
