T&T kindly sent me this plant some time ago. Last year it didn't flower but has certainly made up for it this year. It is about 5' tall and really lives up to its name.

I bought this during a garden visit last year. It is only about a foot high at the moment. I had forgotten it is a giant. I was worrying that it did not like where I have placed it but maybe they need time to settle in.

Me too Gee. Splendid plant...... but not for me, I fear. I googled it, lots of pictures. Some very shaggy ones. There was a huge clump of them in the long border at Gt Dixter. They like moist soil apparently. Moist mine aint after a very short bout of no rain.

I have heavy clay soil, Dorjac, so it if often damp although I have actually planted this clump in a drier spot in my back garden. I am hoping the flowers will grow shaggier with each year :)
