Gorgeous...

This has been one of my favorite hydrangeas this year, I have never turned one blue before and I don't think I will ever let it turn pink again!

Absolutely beautiful,...I love it .

When I was a kid, my Nan used rusty bits of metal dug in with her Hydrangeas, to turn them Blue....Nowadays its a bit more straightforward I think...I do remember half Pink blooms half blue on the same shrub.... :)))

Funny, I've heard of people using rusty metal to change the color of hydrangeas but wonder how long it would take to make a difference in the soil? I know all it really takes is Aluminum to turn them blue and that Aluminum is more available at low pH. I just added some Aluminum sulfate and it did the trick. Just had to be careful not to put too much on since it can be toxic.

I don't think Nan knew anything about Aluminium Sulfate all those years ago lol...Haven't got a clue how long it would take...It was just a thing that stuck in my mind that she did, as you do...:)))
