This one can take it pretty dry but right now it's a little too dry and the tree is suffering a bit.

Golden-rain tree in bloom is usually spectacular but this one has been having a rough summer. I have two 'Rose Lantern' rain trees that will blossom in August or September, I've been taking good care of them through our heat wave so hopefully they put on a better show.

Shame when the Plants and trees suffer...

Yeah, especially when the drought-tolerant plants are suffering, that's when you know it's bad. Heat index was 112F today and everything looked wilted. On the plus side, it's a good way to find out what your toughest plants are! I am disappointed in what it has done to some plants, I had flower buds forming on my sourwood tree and they are likely going to be fried.

I have a friend in Pennsylvania, she's sending reports of really HOT temperatures...it's bizarre, here in france we've been having really Hot weather since April, with very little rain, just last month she was complaining, about too much Rain...all of a sudden now boom, temperature gone through the roof...
Not nice seing your plants struggling even the toughest...

What else?
See who else is growing Koelreuteria paniculata (Golden-rain tree).
See who else has plants in genus Koelreuteria.
