Red Amaryllis

My mother gave me these 2 Amaryllis in 2000. I never knew that you were supposed to keep them in the dark and without water over winter until 07-08, and look what happend this spring !! These are only 2 little pots ! I've never had so many blooms.

Thank you Holantina ! No, I always briing them in for the winter. I don't think they'd survive our harsh winters (it got down to -13F this winter).

They are fantastic! Did you leave them outside in the winter? I've read about people who have planted them in the garden after blooming indoors, just to remember the following summer when they saw the big buds emerging from the ground :-)
