Thank you everyone , it took me by surprise when I saw it , it's gorgeous I have about 10 bulbs each stem is covered in buds to come , it will look fabulous when they all bloom :o))

Oh goody,Amy..just made our chocolate cake this morning.:o)It's a lot cooler here,and just starting to rain..thank goodness..not had much for ages,and water butts empty again..thought I might as well do something positive ! Lol.

Lol ..you sound positively perky Sandra ... we are having the rain as well ! 'our cake ' is a hit in this family it's being made on a regular basis , last week we had our granddaughter staying she asked if she could bring her boyfriend he is a chef at a very exclusive restaurant I made the cake for them and he was impressed by it ... so there you are , it's passed the test :o))

The blinking rain lasted all of 10 minutes,Amy !! so no good at all..glad to hear 'our cake' is still in favour..well,well,approved by a chef,eh? The old Bero book,has passed the test of time then ! :o).Our lot are coming for a meal tomorrow..I'm not making a pudding..they prefer this anyway..:o))

oh that's a lovely little one...I'm assuming it's small..bambino? no flowers on my glads this year...must have put them in too late...it's a riddle...oh well there's always next year.

Thanks Lori , I think it's beautiful , it's not that small it stands approx. 1 metre tall the flowers aren't quite as big as a normal Glad. but are still a good size .. I wonder why yours have't flowered maybe something to do with your move, perhaps they will next year , I've put another photo on showing this Gladioli with more flowers open :o))

I planted a little late, Amy. The glads I planted that I thought were never going to come up ... are up with lovely buds...I'm hoping for Indian Summer to at least let them blossom. We had three nights of frost...they made it thro the first ok...and I put a paper bag over them for the next two nights. fingers crossed.

I had a no show last year, so moved mine, and had a glorious show this year....So they've now been transferred to the Border I would like to keep them in...:)))

Thanks Carole , Lori I'm pleased that your Glads have come up at last , I do hope you get some nice weather so that you can see the them bloom , frosts already ! I have heard of people putting paper bags over buds ,lets hope it does the trick I'll keep my fingers crossed as well :o)

It has clouded up and we are getting rain at present...it's only on clear nights that we get frosts...it's supposed to go down to 10 degrees tonight which is a heat wave by comparison...they are budding up and I hope when I go out tomorrow morning there will be flowers! fingers still crossed! pics to follow! lol....

they have just shown colour, and will be out in full tomorrow...it's going to be cool tonight down to 10 deg. C. so I will probably have to pick them before they freeze as there is cold weather approaching. will have some pics by tomorrow.
