I was very impressed with this one, Japanese white pines make some of the prettiest bonsai trees I've seen!

Beautiful floors :)
I love pines, they are so beautiful trees with wonderful smell, either as bonsai or normal tree. By the way, do you know that Indians say, that pine is the purest of all trees?

why is that?

I do not know exactly. Pine was a sacred tree for Indians, they organised annual tribal meetings under the tree of peace, which used to be pine. Pine represented for Hopi and Kawaiis Indians symbol of strength and balance too. Maybe it is because during strong winds pine and larch are the only trees, which survive thanks to flexibility of their wood. Also it might be connected with the healing properties of pine needles - infusions made from them have very strong desinfective (cleaning) effect on skin, respiratory system and urinary system.
Just for curiosity, orthodox Jews can be buried only in coffins made from the pine wood. They also sort things on thse which are "dirty" and "clean".
