Hi Bjs. This is one of my dwarf Poinsettias, which refers to its height. Whilst it won't get much taller than around 1 metre, some of the heads of coloured bracts can reach almost 30cms across. It puts on a terrific display.

Very nice! The Poinsettia trees and shrubs will start blooming here by October.

I've been really impressed with this dwarf pink this year, Andy. This is the longest it's ever flowered, so it must be very happy in its spot at long last. Unfortunately the dwarf white got trampled by hungry wallabies, so it's down to a stump!

It's amazing how many varieties of this plant is available here. We have the world-leading Ecke Poinsettia farm (huge hybridization facility) here in San Diego County, there's many hundreds or maybe thousands of hybrids.

There are some lovely hybrids trickling over to our nurseries here. I've resisted all temptations so far to get another one, but I don't know how long that will last!

Beautiful poinsettia! I've only seen the very red ones, so must keep an eye out for this one.

Dwyllis, there have been so many lovely varieties turning up in the nurseries here ... creamy white, pink and an orangey-red.
