Many of the Floss-Silk trees are in full bloom now here in San Diego, CA. Photo taken Sept. 17, 2011.

Thats pretty special D. Very different from UK. The pink blossom of this tree just means spring to me. Good thing I dont live in California, I would be totally confused!!

That's Funny! Then you'd be very confused now...because many of the tropical/subtropical trees (and there's many) start blooming in Fall through Winter into early Spring here in San Diego.

I post a lot of photos of the winter flowering tropical trees such as: Hong Kong Orchid tree (Bauhinia x 'Blakeana'), Dombeya species, Calliandra species, Tabebuia impetiginosa, these are just a few of the many.
