We have started off several cuttings for next year, so hopefully we'll have a mega display!

Fantastic flower! You have so many weird - and wonderful - plants. Where do you put them all??

Thanks!
This one is Sues Tetrarch, although it becomes mine before the first frost!

Do you cut it right back to a couple of feet to get it in the greenhouse?
3 Oct, 2011
We will - it'll be in the spare room which I keep cool.

The coolest place we have in the house which has space enough but no natural light is the loft. Would my datura go there? Any other plants that dont need light?
3 Oct, 2011
Hopefully the Datura should give up its seeds before the first frost. Not suited to the loft really.
All my tender bulbs/tubers (Hymenocallis, Gloriosa, Bletilla orchid etc) will go up there.

Great! I thought it might be bulbs. Got 2 Hymenocallis..just hope I dont forget they are there!

beautiful flower. The colour would make stunning fabric for a ballgown. I've just cleaned out the greenhouse ready for the winter. Just gathering in the tender plants to try to keep them until springtime. The weather is wild wet and windy today

Thank you Linda!
It's ridiculous how we keep buying plants that are not suited to our climate isn't it!
