its a beauty lulu ~ i love them and everything about them. how tricky are they to play?

18 Nov, 2011

Hahahaha meadowland, I admit i didn't get it untill you explained LoL :)))

Whatever floats your boat! ;o)

The only trouble with drums is you can't recognise what tune is being played! My daughter is the drummer in a local band (just for your information lol)

;-)
in my case it comes from spending a life time thinking of alternatives!!

18 Nov, 2011

for me the drums are the heartbeat, it just isnt the same without them ~ having listened to many a drum practise in the room next to the kitchen i still say i love them.

LoL ML!!
Gave it a good bashing this eve and Sluggy started to howl!
It doesn't have as many different sounds as my skin drum, this one is acrylic. Takes a bit of getting used to.

18 Nov, 2011

I'm sure you will get there!

18 Nov, 2011

how does the acrylic sound compared to your 'skin' Bodhran Lulu, is it a 'brighter' sound?

19 Nov, 2011

Brighter, much more resonant but only 2 tones, where the skin has lots of tones! I bought the acrylic one so I could drum in the cold and damp!! But one trip to Avebury drumming with druids may have been enough, although I did enjoy going to the village hall to drum with some south american elders, about 20 drummers, that was fun and instructive for a beginner like moi!

For just moment there I actually though, what a great shot of the moon, but why is she holding a match up to it.
All I have left from my drum kit from when i was in a band at 15/16 are the two tom toms I bought : (

looks like a fab instrument

19 Nov, 2011

that drumming with the elders must have been amazing lulu,
you could get one of these stevie to go along with the tom toms ~ or maybe a steel drum?

19 Nov, 2011

How's about that Stevie!! Spring equinox?!!

19 Nov, 2011

It really does look like a full moon! wonderful!

19 Nov, 2011

doesn't it just!

19 Nov, 2011

sounds a goodun, that reminds me I forgot to check the price of heating oil right on the summer equinox (when I thought it would be at its cheapest)
I'm not sure my toms would be good as they were part of a kit on a stand, ebay for them i think but I am open to one like yours : ) (as long as I look masculine with it I dont mind)

19 Nov, 2011

you can paint a lion on your drum, just to show manly status!

19 Nov, 2011

I inked my tattoo on mine, anyone wanna see it ???? :-l

20 Nov, 2011

Yes please Bampy!

20 Nov, 2011

I was going to paint mine but I rather like the moon effect!

20 Nov, 2011

depends where it is Bampy ; )
be careful though if its on your a**e Lil will make a mosaic out of it!

20 Nov, 2011

and it might have lipstick on too!!

tattoo on a drum, yes i would like to see that please

20 Nov, 2011

Lol Stickie and Stevie! Might give it a try, but too many cracks for a mosaic ;)

20 Nov, 2011

gives a new meaning to kiss **s*!

20 Nov, 2011

ah Lil, always up for the crack as they say in Ireland, or is it craic?

20 Nov, 2011

I thinks that's craic Stevie!!

20 Nov, 2011
