I've been looking out for them all week! I had to take the photo through the car window - luckily the lights were at red!

I've also seen a lot of Rafia Palms...similar in many ways, but they are fruiting at the moment - lovely...and also very tall!

I like Rafia palms...I have posted photos of a few species. Unfortunately, it's not as commonly grown as the Royal palms here in San Diego.

The Coconut, Rafia and Royal palms are the most common here...but there others which I'll try to post! :)

That's terrific! We grow many hundreds of species of palms here outside. I wish we could grow the large coconuts here! There's some...however, they're a huge challenge to grow outside here.

Hi TT! I'm not sure yet...it's been the dormant season and I've only recently been able to get out and about...

Now that the trees are beginning to flower and produce fruit it's easier for me to tell them apart!

The coconuts are pretty much like weeds here - there's a large one in the garden of the house I'm moving to. Might get some pics today! :))

I wish coconut trees grew like weeds here, too.

Yes, coconuts grow wild everywhere in Hawaii. I noticed you make a comment about the sad ones growing in San Diego. LOL! :>)

LOL! Never mind, Delonix...horses for courses, as they say...I'll bet that there are other wonderful plants which do best in San Diego!

Yes, my family link is to the Hawaiian Islands...not just Honolulu. My family has been in Hawaii for more than 100 years...on virtually all the islands.

Oh, how wonderful! Do you visit often? I'm afraid that I don't really know anything about the Hawaiian Islands other than Honolulu...
