I planted these paperwhites 3 weeks ago ~ I cant believe how they have shot up!! They were meant to be in flower for Christmas???!!!

a bit like narcissi meanie, lovely scent and very white flowers

they grew like this in the cold garage grandmage but they were white so i gave up and brought them in!!

I had forgotten how quickly they grew last year ~ but I put them in much later then.

i partly put her in there so you could see the size ~ she is about 7 or 8 inches tall!! she was a present a few years ago.

Are they in a warm place now,Sticki? maybe a cooler place might halt the growth a bit longer? I don't really know,to be honest,just a thought..I wondered if they were salad onions too..till I read your artistic info ! :o)

possibly would slow them down ~ feels mean putting them out now ~ they are in a cool bedroom.

I've never grown these before Stickie ,but I would also imagine that to put them in a cooler place might slow them down a bit.
Thats sad Stickie, about Christmas,I mean.We're actually honoured with the presence of my daughter and her girls this year,so It should feel a bit more Christmassy.I agree though, its not the same when the family's all grown up and gone.
