Okay ... I am intrigued ... any clues? Flower colour from the red spur in the photo, fruit, bark?

Found it Avkq47....it is a Schefflera actinophylla.

Yes, it's Schefflera actinophylla - umbrella or octopus tree. They can grow to 60ft/20m tall. They're all blooming here, too.

Is it a common tree there, also?

Not too common Delonix but not rare either. I rather like this tree....

I like this tree, also. It's a very commonly grown large tree here. Almost every year when they bloom I post pics.

I've seen some really large trees around I want to pics of...just haven't had time, though. :>)
