Me too Sheilar.....and I can always remember my Mum using Gardenia perfume by Yardleys when I was a small child...I always get reminded of her when the perfumes wafts........nice..........

No not difficult at all. They just require an even temperature and ericaceous feed, and not to allow to dry out. Misting needed if the air is dry......

we have a lots of gardenia here but our kind neighbor dont know about the importance of flowers, what they do is picking it and dont give much importance thats why sometimes i can say bad things with them

I love Gardenia! I can't grow them well. I see big shrubs around in people's gardens, though.

They do seem to need a loty of humidity Andy...

The problems here are the soil and horrible hard water.

I used to have beautiful large shrubs when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. I planted them directly into redwood mulch...as they love acidic soil.

They have to be treated with great reverence here Andy.......

There's some in front of Taco Bell close to my house...they never seem to get much of any attention...and they look flawless and are always in bloom (it makes me sick! Go figure! lol!).
