Can you see the little flowers growing on the cuttings ?

I suppose I shall have to nip them off !

thats great but like you say Amy better nip them off to strengthen plants, my delphiniums flowered in autumn which i did from seed in spring, iv planted them anyway and hope they come back next year, good luck with these Amy :o)

I like it to, not one I have ever considered before,cuttings have done well is that 26-8 on the label,there is enough growth they should over winter I would think.

TT. I 'm not heating the greenhouse this winter so fingers crossed for them , thanks Driad lets hope they stay that way ..
Good luck with your Delphiniums San they should come back next year I do hate it when we lose plants especially when you have grown them yourself from seed ....

Brian you clicked at the same time as me ! it's 28/8 ~ I will take off the buds as San says to strengthen them ,they should be alright I didn't heat the greenhouse last year and they survived ....

I honestly don't know Sue , I have always grown Clematis cuttings outside in the greenhouse but other years we have had a little heat in it , this year will be a first and an experiment ......

I didn't mean to but I forgot to close the greenhouse door last night Sue and there was a frost I've been out to look at them this morning luckily they still look alright! Phew!

No Hailstones here Sue in fact it's very mild this morning ,we have turned the heating off ~~ now off to spend Christmas day with our daughter and family , enjoy your day x ;o))
