Spring is on its way!

I couldnt quite believe my eyes but there must have been at least 40 lambs in the field!

Aw, they're so cute

7 Feb, 2012

Before that indeterminate age when they go from fun and inquisitive to totally and forever detached (which your pic illustrates beautifully).

9 Feb, 2012

Lovely lambs! Nice to see them out on grass. I can't get that close to the lambs here as the Mums are very feisty!

12 Feb, 2012

There was a fence in front of me nariz! I wonder how old these are, they are not exactly White and fluffy!

12 Feb, 2012

They look about 6 weeks old, Sticki. "Olympic year" lambs!

13 Feb, 2012

Poor cold little dears.......

Only if they keep practising,Sticki!

15 Feb, 2012

I'm sorry, I did a "double take" there and read your comment as "Poor cold little ears", DD2! I'm sure they are!

15 Feb, 2012

they need to be dedicated nariz!!!
i would have cold ears if i was them.

15 Feb, 2012

Our lot in the corral could give your lot a run for their money in the butting and leaping stakes! That's all they seem to do.

15 Feb, 2012

:-)

15 Feb, 2012

It's enough to put you off eating lamb isn't it:-(

18 Feb, 2012

well maybe???

18 Feb, 2012

Um?............Nah! Pass the mint sauce. ;o)

19 Feb, 2012

My favourite meat, and you can't buy it here (well, Easter lamb, but it's infanticide, and not worth the effort of chopping the mint - tasteless!).

19 Feb, 2012

No lamb in italy?

19 Feb, 2012

We've got a half-leg lamb roast for today, compliments of our nice neighbour, Gattina, along with a parsnip, potatoes and leeks from the garden, with Yorkshires and mint sauce of course. Coming over?

19 Feb, 2012

Can I come too ?

19 Feb, 2012

and me please? but i expect it has all gone now?

19 Feb, 2012

Gone and enjoyed! "O" (Fat Nariz!)

20 Feb, 2012

OH managed to take out the internet connection yesterday, Nariz, so I didn't get you lovely invitation until this morning and too late. (Sounds of gasping and sobbing) Thank you - I should have LOVED to have been there.
No lamb as Brits. know it, Sticki. We've tried what's on offer here and it's not worth the effort of cooking, much less the second mortgage you need to buy it. "Castrato" is apparently the closest we would get to it, and we've never seen it for sale in this area. Our Italian friends make awful faces when it's mentioned - maybe they've only ever tried mutton, I wouldn't know, but Spring lamb is so tiny and tasteless, we would never buy it again. It would astonish you to see the amount of New Zealand and Welsh and English lamb joints that makes their way back here in the hold of British airways 'planes.

20 Feb, 2012

You lot are heartless....look at their little faces:-(( How do you think they'll feel if they see this blog? :-(((

20 Feb, 2012

Oh COME on, Bornagain, they're FAR too young to have learnt to read.....

20 Feb, 2012

......AND they've had a lovely little life bouncing around in the meadows with their mates. Rather that than a battery-reared chicken!
