Chilli seedlings ......

Thanks TT , a friend gave me a bunch of Chillies last year to hang in the kitchen to dry for decoration, the seeds were taken from one of those after they had dried out !

I'm getting itchy fingers too Amy, not sowing any seed though till we come back from our hols in March, don't want to leave them in the hands of daughters,lol, although did sow some daylily seed thinking they'd take 6-8 weeks in the fridge, they usually do, but I had one lot germinate in a week, and another lot a week later, mmm now what do I do.
Hubby brought some chillies back from the indian before Christmas, thought I could grow them,don't like really hot chillies, in fact none of us do????,these were that flippin hot you burnt your fingers touching the seed!!!! they had a bit of an accident and ended up in the bin, ooops.

Ooh Kathy a holiday in March ,lucky girl , where are you going ? I wouldn't attempt to sow seeds until you come back , can you set the germinated seeds and leave them in a cool room ? I'm no expert like you !
You hit the bin with the chillies on purpose didn't you LOL.. I have touched my face after cutting chillies gosh doesn't it burn !! Meanie gave us a good recipe for pickling chillies which I use a lot it's a good way of using them in stir frys pizza toppings etc.

Can't wait Amy we're going to Antigua, its our 25th wedding anniversary and my 50th this year so a bit of a celebration, Robs packed already and I'm not far behind,lol, not as if I'll need my summer clothes here is it !!!!! just need a couple more bikinis, or maybe costumes at my age :-)), I'll take lots of pictures :-)
Mmm maybe could pot them up if they get too big before we go, maybe the sunroom would be ok, it is frost free if I put each lot in one large pot less for the girls to keep their eye on, shouldn't need much watering, otherwise they should be ok in the fridge for a while longer, never thought I'd see the day I'd be praying for seeds not to germinate,yet :-), don't want to loose them as they're seed sent to me by the American Hemerocallis Society, some lovely crosses.
Ooo I'll have to look for Meanies recipe, for the not so hot chilli seeds I have, don't know what you mean Amy, bin, me, never, they fell in on their own :-))

How exciting Kathy , have you room for a little one ? Mmm deff. not it will be a second honeymoon , don't worry about your seeds you will forget all about them once you are away LOL... what date is your anniversary ? mine is in March ! I wish I could go back to the 25th !! we shall look forward to seeing the photos and you in your cossy ;o))

My wedding anniversary's not till 26th September Amy but we can't wait till then,lol, think you enjoy it more this time of year when the weathers horrid here, hopefully get back just in time for the start of the slightly warmer weather :-)

Thanks Sue , it's nice to be able to get started on some seeds ....... sounds a sensible idea Kathy to escape our nasty weather for a while , come September you will have loads to do in the garden , have a wonderful holiday x
