That has a Mediterranean feel . . . glad you're enjoying sunshine!

Actually, Sheila, we desperately need some rain, despite what the forecast has said over the past few weeks, we haven't had a drop. Thunder, yes, but no rain! Can't disagree about the sunshine, though.

enjoy the sun, you earned it!

Typical, as soon as the snow clears it's drought. we've got the same over here, but milder, as our snow was milder than yours

We need the wet stuff too. I'm going to swamp all the new plants tomorrow, so that they'll get a good drink before the threatened hosepipe ban, from 5th April.

27 Mar, 2012

lucky my garden's small enough that a watering can is a slightly less irritating option than a hosepipe, even if it takes a dozen or so trips back and forth refilling it

if you've got any large containers, sealed-bottom, start filling 'em up now! better if htey're lidded so they don't lose too much through evaporation

I agree, it does have a Meditteranean feel. Simple and yet so attractive.

All we are saying Bloomer is Those Muscari will be past their peak soon....Pull your finger out Gattina ;)

15 Apr, 2012

Yes, but the tulips are taking over nicely, Pim. If only it would stop raining for long enough for us to get out there and see them! I refuse to stand out there in the cold, potting up pelargonium and rosemary cuttings just 'cos you lot are impatient ;-))) Let's get a bit of the sun before I start thinking about that. Still got a squishy cold.

16 Apr, 2012

Look after yourself...Sister's "cold" is now pneumonia, I seem to remember you have had yours a while now :/

16 Apr, 2012

I never seem to be without something 'orrible, Pim. Currently using my inhaler far more than is recommended, just to keep breathing.

16 Apr, 2012

Hope the rain stops and your cold goes, we all need some sunshine to enjoy our gardens;0)

Lovely :)

I am just emptying these out, Pixi, so I can summer plant the tubs up - they look really tatty now!

15 May, 2012

pics soon, please!

15 May, 2012

What, Fran? Pics of them looking tatty or pics of the new plantings? Neither will look very good. Give 'em a chance to fill out a little and I'll post some in a few weeks' time. Not everything's big enough to plant out yet.

15 May, 2012

lol..I love your stonewrok too,,is that steps up to your house?

15 May, 2012

Yes, Pixi, Love, we have a little courtyard in front of the cellar/garage, then stone steps leading up to the lawn at ground floor level, turn left and you're at the front door. Don't forget, we are on the side of a valley, on quite a steep slope, and there are steps everywhere. Good exercise, but it knackers old knees after a day of hauling stuff up and down them!
