A lovely garden area at the top of the hill that looks down on Nice.

It was such a peaceful spot to find in a city that is very much alive.

Looks so tranquil

It was just a garden planted around some ruins of an old castle I think. There were some larger open spaces there for children to play in and for people to have a picnic. There were wonderful views of Nice from the top of the hill.

I can imagine. I think in last centuries there was a fashion sometime to build "as if" ruins, just for decoration of the garden. This seems to me like that garden architecture style.

I think you could be right. I remember one or two lovely trees there with almond blossom on them. I love to visit National Trust gardens but don't like everything to be too perfect!!

Lovely place to stay for the whole day. Is this park or Botanic garden?
