Thanks , No They don't pick these they are grown for the bulbs , you see them growing everywhere ,the bulbs are often dropped in ditches /at the sides of the roads etc.take root and grow , I don't think it occurs to anybody to pick them there are so many ....

now we know.

That's lovely to see. There used to be several daff fields down near New Romney but I don't know if they still grow them there.
