I wish that hemerocallis lasted just a bit longer!

Yes, Ladyessex, aren't they gr8? Some marvellous colours available, too. I found a US website with lots of "Wizard of Oz" named varieties, too. Pity they couldn't be sent over here. Mind you, at up to $35.00 per bulb, just a shade OTT for me!

That yellow is so clearly pastel...a wonderful soft colour... love daylilies especially the trumpet shaped flowers...

I love them, too, Lori! It is difficult, however, to find other colorations here.

I'm no expert on daylilies..but most of the ones I've seen hybridized to the max are not pretty at all, (just my opinion)... I love the lemony yellow trumpets over the golden yellow stella d'oro (which I have) but don't see many of the yellow trumpets on offer around here, it's the ruffled petals and stubby stemmed ones...My fav is the old orange one ..best yet...and it has lovely tall green foliage and when the flowers die the foliage is still plentiful.

Yes, I've seen your Stella d'Oro pics, Lori - really lovely flowers. Every garden around here has the ones we have - wish I knew the name, but no-one seems to know.

Looks like it could be 'Citrina' David, may be wrong as there are so many that look alike, but if its smells of citrus and opens its flowers in the evening rather than early morning (whats called a nocturnal bloomer)thats probably what it is, lovely daylily, this is one I haven't got :-)
