I spent three and a half hours getting the slabs down and level and this very heavy arbour seat in place - but I did it and I love it.

Very cold and drizzly here sticki, but had to get it done. Will test it out in warmer weather. I didn't sit at the new seat I sat at my computer. lol.

What a lovely Arbour, you will just have to sit on it now you have a path wjich leads you there, looking great;0)

That is brilliant! It looks really lovely and it separates the garden from the woodland...Love it! :))

The path has been in for ages but it just led to the driveway and I wanted it to go to somewhere special, now it does. I have laid slabs for the arbour seat to stand on not put it into the ground it is too difficult to drive the metal spikes in up there, it was bad enough with tree roots to get the slabs level. Sorry if I misled you Pansy.

Glad you like it Karen, it does look nice, very cold here - too cold to go and sit up there though.

My metal arch is bolted on to railway sleepers and it has withstood all the horrible gales so far, so should be fine!

Yes it should be ok, it is a very heavy arbour, my shoulders ache from tugging and pulling at it, if I had known Paul was coming home early from work I would have waited for help. But when I started it I just had to have it finished lol. as you say family failing, it must be in the genes.

We were saying (Karen and I) we think it is a woman thing the men don't finish things once they are started, whereas we have to have things started and finished in one fell swoop. lol. Thanks for your lovely comments.
