I know what you mean, Sanbaz. First real sunshine today so I walked Millie for 90 minutes through the wood, mowed the lawns and spent hours (!) weeding. Can hardly stand up straight now and bending over gave me heartburn but it was worth it :)

thankyou so much Guys for the lovely comments, when i think what we have been through to get to this, first the liner pond and having to redo that, then winter rain falls ruined the liner pond with all the clay water got under neath and it swelled like a balloon, oh my god i thought we would never get it righ haha
but hoprfully now it right and will stay that way,
so if you have heavy clay be carefull when installing a new pond and i would go for a pre-formed pond rather than a liner.
scottish if i can help you i will and if you want to ask me anything just send me pm ok.
i wouldnt be without my pond, i love the sound of water when in the garden and watching my fishies swimming about, also it brings wildlife to your garden, frogs which keep the slugs down which is great as i dont use any chemicals in my garden, i like it to be natural and apart from weeding it looks after itself.
im a fair weather gardener to, but from spring till winter im out there enjoying it all,
happy gardening all :o))))

It will fill the water butts Sandra! It's really horrid weather here today so I'm staying in and cleaning the bungalow through. We have an amber weather warning in Derbyshire.
22 Jun, 2012
Hi linda your right about filling the water butts, im still waiting for Baz to clear behind the shed so i can have water butts to, he works so many hours its hard to get things done that i need, not complaining but would be great to get it cleared and flagged.
hope the weather is getting better soon though, we go away sat or sunday, not sure where yet, waiting for sunshine to appear or im going to spain lol
24 Jun, 2012

Very attracive pond. I really like to see Acers close to a pond - can't really give a reason why other than I likes 'em!
