Heuchera 'Blackberry jam'

It's good to get smaller Heuchera and grow them on yourself. This is a very pretty leaf pattern Gee.

It is pretty and is slightly darker than the camera shows. Small is cheaper too, Dorjac :) I was going to pot this little one today but ran out of time before the rain returned. I have been baking for the family - toad in the hole requested by granddaughter followed by lemon 'pie'. I also amused myself by making honey flapjacks and a huge fruit cake - should keep them going for the rest of the week :) Hope you had a good weekend.

All gone now, Amy! My eldest grandson turned up with a friend and ate the last of the pudding and the cakes went home with my other grandchildren. At least it takes temptation out of my way :)

It's my turn tomorrow ,our daughter is coming over they always look to see what's been baking , it's nice that they should want to isn't it especially with so many people not bothering to cook / bake these days , I went into Morrisons this morning have you noticed how small a space is given to baking items ? they hardly stock much more than the basics like flour, I don't think they expect people to want to cook !

Forgot to mention the baking. That is the sort of granny every grandchild wants, to conjure up their favourites. I was going to say my gran didn't have an oven, but she did have one in the much used range in her front room. I never remember her baking though. Mum used to bake, but I'm useless in that department.

I love baking and it shows! That's why I send it home with the grandchildren etc. I am trying to lose a few pounds before a wedding in September :)

Oh Gill , that is going to be tough , who can resist the smells and taste of good cooking !!
