missed the spring flowers but it was a new plant to me. another woodlander now under the beech tree.

they are described as 'heart shaped' on the label. they have such pretty fringing too.

Looks an interesting little plant, with its pretty leaves its a shame we missed the flowers will have to wait until next year now!

Its common name is Columbia kittentails. It has a lovely blue flower. It says it might even be in bloom before the snow is over so a very early blooming plant. It also says its only 5"-12" tall so ideal underplanting. I'll look forward to seeing it in flower.
