This one is Blue Mound Dawn, but I agree that every one Ive seen around here has done really well this year with the cold damp start......

At least the weather is liked by Ceonothus. I was a bit worried about frosts as they're not totally hardy, are they.
How's Teddy, what's he been up to today.

Hi Dawn....the snowy winter took half of my young ceanothus and it was just growing well again when the cold spell killed the top again.....now it is a stump of six inches!

The same thing happened to ours, though we had trained ours as a standard, it lost the top, and only in the last few weeks has sprouted new growth, I thought we had lost it, so glad we didn't...OH trimmed off the dead yesterday, and it looks tidy, not expecting any flowers though this season...

My Concha is against a south facing wall so was Ok but the summer flowering ones in the garden usually suffer and I've lost them in the past.
