It is such a pretty little plant. This is one of the alpines I bought on mothers day. I trusted the photograph at the nursery was a good image and it is.

I was born in Girvan overlooking Arran and Ailsa Craig.
We go o Arran most years. The fauna and flora there is delightful ( the red deer and red squirrels ) and plant life abundant.

There are not many stockists but RHS Wisley sell it if that is anywhere near you. Depending on which way you intend to travel on holiday you might pass one of the other stockists.

I am very happy with it. It took ages for the flowers to open but they seem to be lasting for a very long time. Its not a delicate plant although it is very dainty.
