I don't think so Kat , Dawn sent me a couple of babies she had taken as cuttings from her own shrub , she will see this and answer that question ... :o)

I've never seen such a dark red one, beautiful.

Nor me Gee and the contrasting white anthers....how lovely!

Not sure which variety as its my Dad's shrub, think it may be W. Ruby Red.

Thanks Dawn I'm so pleased with them I'm glad you have seen it .both shrubs are doing very well , Ruby Red sounds about right the name suits it very well .. I will rename it .. :o))

I like Weigela. I've got W Florida too, the variegated one. Can you squeeze a cutting into your garden. ;-)
