Thank you Annella, & Willi you got it right, we have table and chairs on the deck and always eat our meals out there, when it is nice weather of course! We face north so this area is nice and shady. (didnt say that word you suggested willi!!) Lol
B. do you think its Veronica? are they perenniels then? this comes up and seeds all over he place.

Definately think its Veronica, its common name is Speedwell and the marjority are blue, but Spritz has a purple one 2011 if you want to compare!and it is a perennial;0)

I think your purple flower is purple toadflax (Linaria). Bees just love it but it is a very enthusiastic self- seeder.

Gorgeous pic grandmage. It's August now and I'm still waiting for my veronica to flower! Grew them from seed this year....maybe I'll have to wait till next year! Love your garden and your grandaughter is an absolute sweetie.
