If you can decipher it , this is a dragonfly visiting the edges of the pond where it can lay eggs.

That´s fantastic. I have Canon, but I still did not study its 200 pgs Manual how to make detailed microphotos, yet, lol. So I am just amazed by fantastic sci fi photos of insects and pollens,,,,,,,,,,,,of the others, of course.

lovely creatures...here in Ontario the Min. of the Env., in response to a scare about West Nile Virus, (spread by a mosquito) started a breeding and seeding programme for these lovely things....in early June...it's like the evacuation of Saigon! They seem to fly in squadrons nipping the mosquitoes out of mid air! Lots of water in small lakes and streams for them to breed.
