I take about 170 plants a week to the local plant auctions. Approximately 2000 per annum in total.
I used to be a full time nurseryman but nowadays I do this more as a paid hobby as my main income comes from being a gardener and occasional garden designer

It's been totally hopeless this year. Average price 37p for a one litre plant!
I have recently started selling via two people I know who have stalls on main roads outside their homes and I've sold about 120 in a month at £1 -1.50 each

That sounds a much better idea Alan , we had a visit from our local hoticultural society friday evening we potted up loads of plants to sell for their funds from the garden nobody wants to pay very much for them I'm sure we lost out by the time we used our own compost ,people don't stop to think how much a plant would cost them in a garden centre :o(
