Nice to see it. I love to see the full moon (Maybe that sais something about me lol) ... but I don't think we'll ever see the moon or sun here again, with all this rain ...

2 Jul, 2012

Same here Mr Hywel! :( grat pic Lil :))

2 Jul, 2012

Thanks N3tyy, Hywel and Pixi :)
Sorry about your weather.....you must be due stellar weather now through November??

2 Jul, 2012

Yeah, stop hogging it all Lil, Lol.

2 Jul, 2012

Oops, sorry Willi...will try to send some over :)

2 Jul, 2012

Thanks, its only fair :-)

2 Jul, 2012

In exchange, I expect a bank holiday to be declared in my honour! Think it's the least you could do :)

2 Jul, 2012

Lovely photo Lil. Sounds like a good deal - if we can get more than 100,000 votes for your suggestion, it will be discussed in parliament. While we're at it . . . how would you like to be Mayoress of London? ;-))

2 Jul, 2012

Hmmm, think I could pick up a few votes from GoY Mark. Regarding becoming Mayoress, absolutely but would need a campaign manager. Are you available? ;)

2 Jul, 2012

Stunning pic Lil. :)

2 Jul, 2012

Thanks Sheila :) It kept me up for hours last night, bedroom felt like a light was on :/

2 Jul, 2012

Noooo! We cant have no more Bank holidays, thats when the weather gets even worse!

2 Jul, 2012

But that's the platform I'll be running on Willi.....Vote for Lily and the sun will return ;)))
My campaign manager really should be handling this! Thought Mark would have had posters plastered all over by now :/

2 Jul, 2012

How beautiful - what a wonderful sight.

2 Jul, 2012

Oh dear....hopefully you've not been under all this rain as well Rose??

2 Jul, 2012

Is that a faint howling I can hear coming from the direction of Wales, Hywel.........?
Not ANOTHER darned bank holiday, Lil!!!!!!!!

3 Jul, 2012

Sorry Lil, I'm too decent a man to have anything to do with Westminster. But I do believe in using my vote and would gladly vote for you. Have to agree with Willinilli though . . . we could end up with snow in August! :-)

3 Jul, 2012

Lil, if the two of us shove REALLY hard, maybe we could both manage to inch a bit of this darned hot sunshine as far as the south coast of Britain? I don't know about you, but I've had a bit too much of it, and could do with just a few cool, very wet days.
You want to be careful about accepting the post of Mayoress of London, by the way - you could end up stuck with that blond idiot Boris!!!!!

3 Jul, 2012

Hmmm Mark...you're too decent but I'm not? Lol! ;)

Speaking in a very quiet voice Gattina....same here! Let's see what we can do. I definitely need a break from this heat and scorching sun! Won't be able to pay the water and electricity bill between all the watering needed and running the AC!!
Regarding Boris, could I not order him beheaded if I am the Mayoress?? ;)))

3 Jul, 2012

I have another plan.
Lil can make us all bright, sunny, stained glass windows. With lovely views.
Then we can sit in our wet little houses & be none the wiser that the garden has blown away! Lol.

3 Jul, 2012

Brilliant Willi! Count me in :)

3 Jul, 2012

Well without you Lil the plan would'nt work!
YOU ARE THE PLAN :-)))

3 Jul, 2012

I like your attitude Willi. Think I may have to fire my current manager and offer the job to you :)))

3 Jul, 2012

Well I dont like to tread on toes, but ok I except :-)

3 Jul, 2012

Hang on a second - I thought I was your agent??????

4 Jul, 2012

I think Willinilli has the answer - we should all replace our windows with Lil's stained glass, open a bottle and chill out! ;-))

4 Jul, 2012

You are now the forgien corrispondant Gattina. Lil has had to bring in someone who is experiencing the bad weather first hand, Lol.
See I have voters already, Thanks Muddy :-)

4 Jul, 2012

You are my Agent Gattina......I've replaced my Manager! :)
Liking the bottle idea Mark :)

4 Jul, 2012

I'll drink to that . . hic! ;-))

4 Jul, 2012

Depends what you mean by bad weather, Willi - it's bl**dy awful here - TOO HOT by far and very uncomfortable! All together now - "We want rain; We want rain..........!"
You tell me what you want me to correspond to, Lil, and I'll do it in "foreign".

4 Jul, 2012

Ah Gattina.....horrible here as well. Heat wave not expected to break until Saturday with no rain in sight :(
Never thought I'd say it, but TOO HOT!
Think we may end up getting kicked off of here soon :/

See.. I promote her mosaics...not her poetry.

Over to Willi

5 Jul, 2012

Don't be passing the buck to Willi.....you sure they were blackberries you ate???
;)

5 Jul, 2012

It could be sour grapes...

5 Jul, 2012

LOL!!!

5 Jul, 2012

My blackberries are still VERY small and green - some are still in flower. I reckon you can't tell the difference between a very dark loganberry and an underripe bramble, Pims!
Come on, Guys - Lil and I - we may get "Hot, Hot, Hot!" but we also get "BL**dy Cold, cold, cold" come the winter. Looking at your weather maps, I know which combination I prefer - certainly not "Grey, grey, grey" and "Wet, Wet, Wet."
Hey! How about the Wimbledon mens' doubles finals, then? Hooray! About friggin' time!

8 Jul, 2012

Def a thornless blackberry...Mine will be over soon :( But there are plenty of wild bramble to be had. We had our first summer day here yesterday...I hated it...CD's blasting until 2am ( not mine ). Looks like more of the same today.

Why do Brits go stupid in the sun?

Yeah, It is about time..but it's not in the bag by any means!

8 Jul, 2012

Nice to see you back in the trenches with me Gattina defending our weather ;)
Excellent point about our winters!

Mad dogs and Englishmen Pimp?? ;)

8 Jul, 2012

Daughter and I used to have a rather snotty game a few years back. We'd sit in the park in the middle of Bologna, trying to guess the nationality of people as they came through the gates, but before they were in earshot. The Brits were SO easy to spot - very pale, bad posture, strange dress-sense and baring very nearly all even in (to Italian sensibilities) sunny but cold weather. In hot weather, quite often very badly sunburned, too. I am generalising shamefully, but you get the drift.
We see so little of the darned stuff (sunshine, that is) we go loopy the moment it heaves into view.
Having said that - I can't really shout - I've been out in the midday sun, weeding, clipping the edges of the lawn, dead-heading and tying up the tomatoes, and the temperatures are up in the 40's. You wouldn't catch the neighbours doing that - they're all inside eating 6 course lunches, and get up very early to garden in the cool. Must be something in the genes.

8 Jul, 2012

Glad to see you are all being civil to each other :-|

8 Jul, 2012

What's "Civil" mean, Willi?

8 Jul, 2012

Lol. No blood was spilled!

8 Jul, 2012

Sorry Gattina forgot about you living in the outback Lol.
Well done Lil, I knew you could hold it together :-)

8 Jul, 2012

A wimp without you Willi ;)

8 Jul, 2012

A wimp by any other name would whimper just as effectively.............

I take it the lottery numbers failed again this week, Lil? Or are you just keeping schtum and packing your bags?

8 Jul, 2012

I would have been at your dinner table tonight if we had any luck.....absolute rubbish :/

8 Jul, 2012

Too hot to sleep Gattina? Get yourself a hammock, Lol.

8 Jul, 2012

Hammocks don't reduce the temperature, Willi - they just make sleeping even MORE uncomfortable, and do nothing for a dodgy back!
Lil, you'd have been disappointed - we only had a scratch meal - it's far too hot to cook properly. I need at least a couple of days' notice. Actually, we have three separate lots of friends coming for meals this week, so menus (two lots of them gluten-free) are whirling round my head. At least I will only have to tidy the house and garden once, and can prepare and cook food during the nighttime cool hours. As long as there is room in the fridges and they keep working, and we can keep the cats out of the kitchen, we should scrape by.

8 Jul, 2012

I find them much more comfortable than a bed, and I have an excellent mattress. Only problem is getting out....gracefully!

8 Jul, 2012

Just been telling Lil how I slept in the garden WHEN it was hot over here once upon a time, Lol.

8 Jul, 2012

Lil, I haven't done anything gracefully for at least ten years now.
I slept in the garden in a tent with my little brother once. I must have been about seven, and my brother three. BIG adventure! My Mum was so worried about some passing child molester getting into the garden and doing his worst that she rigged up a little dinner bell on a string that came all the way down the lawn and was tied to the tent pole. She then sat up all night next to the french windows. I remember it being quite warm, but she was worried we were going to catch cold, so she tied us into old fur coats with string. I was just worried in case I or my tiny bro' needed to wee in the small hours and we couldn't escape from them in time. Happy days!

8 Jul, 2012

I don't believe the bit about you not being graceful for one minute!
I do love hearing your stories Gattina. :)

8 Jul, 2012

Thank you! And every single one of them true, Lil! Who could make rubbish like that up? One day I shall publish them all, and the world will yawn and ignore them. I shall send you a complimentary copy though.

9 Jul, 2012

Autographed I hope.

9 Jul, 2012

I shall have to learn to write first.......

9 Jul, 2012

Lol :)

9 Jul, 2012

I have seen her moving Lil..!

9 Jul, 2012

You just watch it, Bum-face! You promised you weren't going to let on. I've kept all your grubby secrets, haven't I? So far.

9 Jul, 2012

'Grubby secrets'.....even more intrigued now!
'So far'......excellent, a chink in the armour ;)))

9 Jul, 2012

Lil, the moths have been at his armour, but SO FAR I have been the perfect lady and not told anyone. Just a little warning there...............

9 Jul, 2012

PM on the way..... ;)))))))

9 Jul, 2012

Oh Goody!

9 Jul, 2012

Did I use any adverse adjectives..like "Bum Face" ?

Anger management courses for you Gattina.

9 Jul, 2012

Not anger, Pims - pure malice! I've been practising on the cats. Did it work? Sorry about that. Am I forgiven?

9 Jul, 2012

Lol.. Of course you are, I woke up all cheerful today.

9 Jul, 2012

And I went and put the mockers on it....... Does that mean you have sunshine?
