I didn't know that the foliage is scented - I must find one to see what the scent is like! The flower is a pretty shade.

Hi Meadowland, oh dear, I didnt know they were short lived. Grew mine from seed last year and big plants now .... even more reason to collect seed this Autumn then :-) I'll make sure I do so I can have them forever, such nice plants, I'm so impressed. Yes, I believe there are different colours, one is pinker rather than mauve, Simbad will know.

Wow, didnt know they were self seeders, brilliant. I've only recently had Salvias - the other one I have is Salvia Forsskaolii (wood sage).
