I think I am going to move my Filigree this back end it is in an old chimney pot and it is not doing very well, I love the colour of it. Just wish it didn't look so sickly.

That is so lovely. You must have some great garden centres near you, Karen.

We are very fortunate for GCs and nurseries Rose. This morning I bought two cracking Heucheras (posted a pic) £3.50 each. Really big too. That was at my favourite nursery , Ashbrook at Arbroath.

Hi Pixi, it is on the other side of town. You turn left at MacDonalds etc. and go right up to the Brechin Road and travel towards Condor and it's on the left. Very easy to find and their plants and prices are generally excellent. Very well worth a visit and they have some super unusual things. Their alpines are beautiful, a good selection of herbeceous, lovely annuals and Acers in the poly tunnel, and a good selection of trees and shrubs as well. Not so many climbers, but that's not unusual. Most, if not all of their plants are Scottish grown and there are lots of 'home-grown' plants there. The staff, Norma and James etc. are really friendly and so helpful! Hope you get there soon! x

Ah thats near where my Dad stayed..in fact my bro stays out that road to the left! He might know it. Not sutre I'll be there so much now tho. :)

They look lovely together :o))

Thanks Annie. I'm sure you'll get over occasionally Pixi. Hopefully it will still be there! Scottish, the slugs are a problem, but as you know, I am a devil with the pellets. Mind you, the rain just washed away the last lot I put down!

It's baby earwigs that are eating them at the moment anyway. Every time I lift something dry up there's a brood of new wigs underneath...stamp, stamp!

What a little beauty, another to look out for.....

On time long ago in another house ..another life.. I was in bed with my partner..both of us reading books ( not a good relationship btw lol) I felt a presence in the room..I saw one..on the horrid flowery curtains I had been given. I shrieked..kill it..which he did. A wee while later still felt the presence, couldnt concentrate on my book...I felt a tickle on my calf..thinking maybe a hair on the sheet..few mins later..a tickle on the back of my knee..I moved slightly...then a few mins after that..felt \ tickle at the top of my thigh ( no it wasnt my partner!) I threw the duvet back and looked..much to my horror I saw a clipshear!!!!!!! I have never jumped so high and far in my life..right out of bed away from it..he killed it..then I went to sleep in the spare room after that lol HATE THEM WITH A VENGEANCE!!!!!!!!!

LOL......

lol....I'm not surprised you hate them. They apparently like new housing estates Pixi. I never saw one until last summer..or the one before.. and suddenly we were absolutely over-run. I did a bit of research and they like to get in to the dry foundations of new homes and thrive there. I've not seen many inside the house, but the garden is full of them. Hopefully in a couple more years they should reach a natural balance again and I won't see as many, but they are virtually indestructible and eat absolutely everything...all the leaves will be shredded come August. Hopefully one good effect of all this rain will be a depletion in the population as they like dry.

SHouldnt say this..tempting fate..but I havent seen one for a few years here! AYe they may like dry but the snails and slugs like wet! Grrrrrr Hate them too!
