They are flowering Carole but aren't lasting as long with this rain knocking them about ,it's the same all over the garden , they are fluffy looking Sue they seem to get bigger each year Angela !

Lovely. This is the first plant for which i learned the latin name and also the first I grew from a cutting.

I don't think I could ever get to grips with the Latin Alan ,
How and when do you take the cuttings ? I would like to have a go at it ! .

It's 20+ years since I took a cutting of this but from memory it was a semi ripe cutting taken in late July/early August.

However the easiest way to propagate this one is via suckers which it produces in abundance and they are easy to pull off with root attached.

Thanks Alan ,I'll be out looking for suckers in the morning it's a big shrub so there should be some .. :o))
