This Gerbera is a hardy one. The new 'garvinea' ones didn't survive...

I hope it isn't one of the new 'garvineas' Dd. I was most annoyed that the orange ones I planted last year have not appeared this year. They were said to be 'hardier than the "Everlast" series.' Well - they weren't. :-((

I keep reading articles about them, and how hardy they're supposed to be. Well - mine weren't! :-(

Sorry it was not orange, but pink, I keep getting muddled with a beautiful Arctotis (which is orange with silver leaves) this Gerbera is a deep pink and the nursery assured us it will survive, because his relatives who live in Shropshire grew it, and it came through -15!! we are going to the nursery again in September they have an open day (they are wholesalers) and everything is at a reduced price, really looking forward to getting some bargains hopefully, not sure where we will put them though!!

If it's an 'Everlast' one, then yes, mine has been in the garden for at least three if not four years.
I like bargains - can I come too, please? ;-)

Of course, not much of a bargain by the time you have paid for the petrol lol
